The depletion of natural resources is challenging us to find new innovative solutions.

As regards plastics, in Europe every year we produce 50 million tonnes of waste, and 32% of those waste coming from plastics can be recycled.

The impressive amount of 40% of plastics is used for packaging, and different plastics materials are part of our everyday life: we use it for drink bottles, microwave dishes, protective packaging for fragile items or even cosmetics.

The main objective of PRESERVE is to improve the already existing technologies in packaging design, waste management, and polymers recovering to boost the circular use of plastics.

In PRESERVE, we have the potential to change up to the 60% of packaging currently used by the market. How can we reach this?
